New Delhi/Mumbai/Ranchi: Political circles in Delhi, Mumbai, and Ranchi are abuzz with speculation about possible realignments that could reshape the national political landscape ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.
According to political discussions and unconfirmed reports, the BJP-led NDA is believed to be exploring the possibility of bringing the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) into its fold. Sources suggest that Chief Minister Hemant Soren and senior JMM leaders have maintained communication channels with the Centre amid growing friction between the Congress and JMM over various political and organizational issues.
There is speculation that if the JMM decides to part ways with the INDIA bloc and join the NDA before the upcoming Parliament session, a new power-sharing arrangement could emerge in Jharkhand. Political observers have even floated the possibility of senior BJP leader Babulal Marandi being accommodated as Deputy Chief Minister in a future coalition arrangement.
Adding to the intrigue, reports in political circles claim that the NDA leadership may have offered JMM a larger role at the national level, including the possibility of a key Union Cabinet berth focused on tribal affairs.
